About

Let’s Meet!
I was born in the metropolis of Beijing, nicknamed after the peony my grandfather was painting with Chinese ink wash the moment I entered this world. My grandfather passed away only a year after that peony bloomed, but I had always been acutely aware of a big energy bubbling through me. In 2020, amidst the chaos of the early COVID-19 pandemic and my mother’s recent death, I finally allowed this big energy to guide me to pick up a paintbrush for the first time in over 20 years and have not looked back since.
My paintings can be found in private collections across the country and have exhibited at Jam on Hawthorne (Portland) and the Columbia Center for the Arts (Hood River, OR). You may also find my prints/products at Annie Bloom’s Books, Ecru Modern Stationer, and Jan’s Arcade Book Exchange in Portland.
While I have called Portland home for the past 5 years, my family and I are in the midst of moving to Las Cruces, NM in summer 2026. The PNW will always be part of my art and my heart.
