Alpenglow is a natural optical phenomenon seen on mountain summits, ranging from orange, yellow, to pink caused by light scattering in the atmosphere just before sunrise or after sunset. WyEast (Mt. Hood) is part of the Casade Range and is the tallest peak in Oregon and an icon in the Pacific Northwest.
Breath-taking in person, alpenglow is often difficult to capture in its full glory on camera, and more completely captured in painting. The moon and the colors of the painting evokes calm, peace, and clarity.
This Giclee print is available in different sizes in either on archival fine art paper or stretched canvas based on the original acrylic painting completed in 2025.
