Description
This Giclee fine art print features a painting of the iconic Wy’East / Mt Hood alpenglow in Oregon during the sunset alpenglow, as seen from Portland. Alpenglow is a natural optical phenomenon seen on mountain summits, ranging from orange, yellow, to pink, caused by light scattering in the atmosphere just before sunrise or after sunset. Wy’East is part of the Cascade Range and is the tallest peak in Oregon, and an icon in the Pacific Northwest (PNW).
Breath-taking in person, alpenglow is often difficult to capture in its full glory on camera, and more completely captured by painting. This piece will be the highlight of any space, minimalist or rustic.
This Giclee print is available in different sizes in either on archival fine art paper or stretched canvas based on the original acrylic painting completed in 2024 titled “Wy’East Alpenglow.”
