Let’s Meet!
I was born in the metropolis of Beijing, nicknamed after the peony my grandfather was painting with Chinese ink wash the moment I entered this world. My grandfather passed away only a year after that peony bloomed, but I had always been acutely aware of a big energy bubbling through me.
For years, I had no name for this energy. In 2020, amidst the chaos of the early COVID-19 pandemic and my mother’s recent death, I finally allowed the big energy to guide me to pick up a paintbrush for the first time in over 20 years and have not looked back since.
My paintings have been exhibited at Jam on Hawthorne (Portland) and the Columbia Center for the Arts (Hood Rive, OR). You may also find my prints/products at Annie Blooms Books, Ecru Modern Stationer, and Jan’s Arcade Book Exchange in Portland.
